Who We Are

Crowborough and District Lions are part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest voluntary service organisation.

What We Do We

We support our local Community including children, youth and senior citizens in a variety of ways.

Why Do We Do It

We are a group of like-minded individuals who wish to help our Community to develop and grow together without disadvantage, bias or discrimination.

How Do We Do It

By fundraising locally and ensuring that every penny raised is spent and donated for the good of everyone.

Our Profile

This year we celebrate 46 years of active service in our area.

We continually work on our list of projects for the year which include our regular events, e.g. Saturday morning bookstall, local fetes, Summer Tea Party and Christmas Lunch for our senior Citizens, Easter Egg Raffle, sponsored Darts Marathon, Christmas Carols with Father Christmas around local estates, help with hall preparation for local clubs and societies and our ongoing children’s ‘Wish List’.

Other help we give includes marshalling and assistance at marathons and sports events and we also run activities and competitions for our children and young people, which include a Junior football competition, international Peace Poster competition, Young Leaders in Service programme and others.

Lions’ work and activities cover a wide range of community, health and social programmes to ensure we help those most in need and to ensure the development of our communities.
